Efficiency & Scalability
FloWatt is a new family of efficient, scalable, and visually unobtrusive wind turbines that operate based on a patented principle never used before.
Some of the most common issues hindering the widespread adoption of wind turbines on a large scale include: startup speed (high wind speeds are required to initiate rotation), aesthetic impact (difficulty integrating them into natural environments), and the danger posed by moving parts (the rotation of the blades poses a hazard to animals and people). Furthermore, their rotation sometimes produces constant noise that worsens over time, and maintenance is both dangerous and costly due to the high-altitude placement of the motor, mechanical components, and control center.
All these issues have been resolved by developing a device that offers several advantages:
The helical flanges arranged tangentially to the cylinder are designed to harness horizontal wind currents coming from any direction. The shape of the helical flanges and the cylinder were developed to channel air currents toward the rotor’s tangential effective surface, thereby preventing the dissipation of mechanical energy along the rotor’s axis.
Wind energy can be considered both renewable and sustainable: in fact, wind is a potentially infinite energy source. Unlike other sources, such as fossil fuels (coal, oil, and gas), it will never run out.
With Turbines, electricity can be generated efficiently and aesthetically without producing any pollution in the air we breathe.
The Turbine Hybrid Power Generator family can be paired with low-voltage batteries, with capacities ranging from 500 Wh to 2 kWh—an all-in-one solution that allows for different storage capacities by using one or two battery modules. The Turbine Hybrid Power Generator family can be paired with low-voltage batteries, with capacities ranging from 1 kWh to 9.8 kWh—an all-in-one solution that allows for different storage capacities by using one or two battery modules.
The UTEM includes a Wi-Fi module, which allows the wind generator to be connected to the Internet and registered on a monitoring portal, accessible via a smartphone app. Users can monitor the turbine’s status and the electricity produced; by accessing the portal, they can view the system’s energy flows, the plant’s production curves, any active alarms, and historical data in real time.
